Articles & Blogs

Articles have all the functionality of Pages, but instead of being part of the Main Site-Tree and Navigation Menu, they are contained within Category Groups. This allows for them to be easily sorted and searched using Tags. Because Articles are not displayed in the main Navigation Menu, they are normally accessed through a Page with a Category Group, or as Featured Content.

Most of the functions related to News Articles & Blogs can be accessed in the Administration Console by clicking the top-level navigation icon titled "Website":

Creating a Basic Article

1. In the Administration Console, click on the top navigation icon titled "Website", then click "Add Article".
2. Enter the title of the Article.
3. Click "Select Placement" and choose where the Article should be located. Multiple Category Groups can be selected.
4. Type a short summary for the Article. This is the text that will be displayed whenever it is displayed or Featured somewhere else on your site.
5. Upload at least one image to the Gallery and set it as the Featured Image. This will be displayed next to the short summary and at the top of the Article when it is viewed (unless it is hidden).
6. Add content using the WYSIWYG Editor.
7. Click "Save" to finish creating the Article.
8. Click "View" to see the result.
